"The world youth theory" postgraduate online forum was successfully held

Recently, Chinese and foreign graduate students from the school of international culture and education of Nanjing Normal University met online on time to participate in the "World Youth theory" activity. This activity not only enhanced the friendship between Chinese and foreign graduate students, but also made students deeply feel the charm of the collision and cultural exchange between Chinese and foreign cultures.
Although the epidemic separated students from each other, unable to carry out face-to-face ideological collision and language exchange, it did not repel everyone's enthusiasm to participate in online activities. This activity is divided into five parts: topic display, contestant discussion, audience voting, lottery and prize evaluation. According to the three selected topics, international students and Chinese students participating in the activity are invited to express their opinions in turn, and finally the winner is determined by audience vote.
There were eight speakers for the event, including Bangladesh (Zhang HaoTu 8), Nigeria (Ding Jiaming 5), Indonesia (song Yingjia 6), Malaysia (Zhu caiwen 7), Mauritania (March 3), Tajikistan (Li Fei 2) and China (Sun Yuhong 4, Jiang Wenjun 1).
There are three major themes in this activity: "Chinese Spring Festival in my mind", "interesting gift culture of different countries", "legends or customs of different countries". Chinese and foreign graduate students have made wonderful speeches on each theme. In the first round of speech, Zhu caiwen, a Chinese from Malaysia, made a detailed comparison on the similarities and differences of the Chinese in Malaysia and the way of celebrating the Spring Festival in China. They all expressed their hope that they could have a chance to experience the Spring Festival in China. The postgraduates who spoke also shared with each other the relevant legends and customs of their respective countries, while sun Yuhong, a student from China, explained to you the source of the colorful rope for the Dragon Boat Festival.
The theme discussion is warm and harmonious, and there are many wonderful interactions between the speaker and the audience. Under the collision of language exchange and ideas, Chinese and foreign graduate students have a more specific understanding of each other's living habits and cultural customs, and have a deeper experience of cross-cultural communication. At the same time, the audience voting and prize drawing process also greatly enhanced the sense of participation of graduate students. Foreign students and Chinese students spoke freely, sought common ground while reserving differences, and vividly demonstrated the unique style and active thinking of graduate students of the Chinese Academy of education.
At the end of the activity, the first, second, third and participation awards were selected according to the voting results of the audience. Among them, Zhu caiwen, a Malaysian Chinese student from the 18th level hanshuo class, won the first prize of the "World Youth theory" and the title of "the best youth". The host gave the online awards to the players and the audience in turn. At last, all the participants took photos with the audience.
The development of this activity reflects the idea that the Chinese Academy of education attaches great importance to the cultivation of graduate students in cross-cultural communication. Not only the Chinese and foreign graduate students participating in the activity have exercised their oral expression ability, but also all the other graduate students participating in the activity have broadened their horizons and enriched their knowledge. So far, the activities of the graduate online forum of "World Youth theory" have come to a successful end.
