Methyltriethoxysilane is an important organosilicon raw material, which can be used to prepare various organosilicon polymer materials.

Methyltriethoxysilane can be copolymerized with other silicone monomers to form silicone resins with different properties and uses. For example, copolymerization with phenyl triethoxysilane can produce high temperature resistant benzyl silicone resin; copolymerization with vinyl triethoxysilane can produce cross-linkable vinyl silicone resin.

Methyltriethoxysilane can also be used to prepare phenylmethyl silicone oil. It has excellent high and low temperature resistance, radiation resistance, media resistance and electrical insulation properties, making it an ideal choice for lubricants and sealants.

Methyltriethoxysilane can be used to prepare organosilicon compounds containing reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups. It can improve the softness, wrinkle resistance, water resistance, stain resistance, flame retardancy and other functions of the fabric.

In addition to the preparation of silicone polymer materials, methyltriethoxysilane can also be used as a crosslinking agent for room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber to improve the mechanical properties and weather resistance of rubber and provide protection for sealing.
