About the author
Cheng Jie, born on March 31, 1959, is from Taixing, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from high school in 1975 and worked in the countryside. In 1978, he was admitted to the Chinese Department of Nanjing Normal University (now the school of Arts of Nanjing Normal University). He graduated from the bachelor's degree in 1982, and graduated from the Graduate School in 1985. He has obtained a master's degree in literature and has been working in the school since then. He served as an associate professor in 1993, received a doctor's degree in literature in 1994, tutored the master of ancient literature in 1995, served as a researcher and doctoral supervisor in 1999, and changed to a professor in 2012. Mainly engaged in literature, flower literature and flower culture research in Song Dynasty, published research on poetry and Literature Innovation in Northern Song Dynasty, research on literature of singing plum in Song Dynasty, discussion on plum culture, research on aesthetic culture of Chinese plum blossom, research on scenic spots of Chinese plum blossom, research on literature and history of flowers, fruits, vegetables, etc.
