Organic Silicone Resin--Sanitary Coating

Hits: 803 img

Food hygiene is essential to human health. Coatings that meet hygienic standards are needed in health care and food processing equipment. The method to reach the sanitary standard is either regular cleaning or active sterilization of the coating surface. The selection of a new biocide requires multiple reviews. The commercialization of a new biocide requires expensive test costs and cumbersome approval documents; on the contrary, prevention of microbial contamination can be achieved through easy-to-clean coatings, which can reduce a lot of trouble. The most commonly used disinfection method is ultraviolet radiation; however, ultraviolet radiation will reduce the adhesion and abrasion resistance of organic resin coatings, and cleaning with abrasive cleaners and chemical disinfectants will destroy the protective properties of the coating. If silicone is introduced into the coating, it can give the coating excellent UV resistance, water repellency, low surface energy (20-22 mN/m), non-stick properties and chemical cleaning agent resistance, and extend the service life of the coating.

my country's organic silicon food coatings have been developed in the 1980s, and the hygienic standard GB/T 11676-1989 for organic silicon anti-stick coatings for food containers has been formulated. It is suitable for silicone anti-adhesive coatings (such as silicone light glaze) composed of hydroxyl-containing polymethylsiloxane and polymethylphenylsiloxane, coated on metal surfaces such as aluminum plates and tin-plated iron plates. After natural volatilization, high temperature baking and curing to form a film, it can be used as anti-sticking coating for food molds.
