H-containing silicone oil is one of the main types of silicone functional groups in silicone products. Due to the different structures and preparation methods of H-containing monomers, they can be divided into three types: partially H-containing, all H-containing and branched H-containing. According to the chemical properties of the silicon-hydrogen bond, it is the main raw material for modified silicone oil to synthesize other organic silicon products and organic products.
The H content in silicone oil is generally between 0.8~1.5%, and the viscosity is about 10~50 (molecular weight is within 2000)
According to the requirements of modified silicone oil products, this method is adjusted from high H content silicone oil (0.8~1.5%) to any low H content and arbitrary viscosity silicone oil. According to the chemical structure of the silicon-oxygen bond, the catalyst for adjustment (catalytic rearrangement) can be acid or alkali. However, the Si-H bond is active to alkali and prone to hydrolysis and dehydrogenation to make it hinge, so the acid that catalyzes the rearrangement is used as the catalyst, and the alkali is used as the neutralizer. Since the catalytic rearrangement reaction needs to be carried out under mild conditions (otherwise it will cause H loss), the temperature control of the reaction process is stricter.
