On March 25, the first batch of more than 15 tons of 201 methyl silicone oil (DM5) internal supply products of ekon spark silicone was delivered directly to Basel plant in South Korea, marking that the Asia Pacific Supply Chain team of ekon silicone promoted the establishment of cooperation and resource sharing mechanism among plants in the Asia Pacific Region, promoted the maximization of capacity utilization and rationalization of inventory level in the Asia Pacific region, and effectively reduced the overall operation success of the Asia Pacific region This is to create a complete Asia Pacific Supply Chain closed-loop, which provides a strong impetus for the sustainable and rapid development of ekon silicone business.
The Basel plant is a South Korean enterprise which produces downstream special products silicone gel in August 2019 by LAN-STAR, an overseas company. Before the merger and acquisition, ekon silicone was an indirect supply partner of important raw materials for Basel plant, and cooperated with intermediate agents.
After the merger and acquisition, the Aiken organic silicon Asia Pacific Supply Chain team actively carried out the sorting and running in of the businesses of both sides and the process refinement confirmation, paid close attention to the demand of Basel and other internal supply factories, continuously expanded the new business process communication mode, realized the change of the indirect supply of raw materials from the agent to the direct supply of Aiken spark organic silicon, and laid a good start for steadily promoting the integration of the internal supply business in the Asia Pacific region. This not only effectively reduces communication links, improves work efficiency and reduces operating costs, but also greatly guarantees the timely supply of raw materials and the stability of product quality. In order to complete the production of the first domestic products for overseas enterprises with quality and quantity guaranteed, Elkem spark silicone overcame various difficulties during the new crown epidemic and gave priority to production scheduling and on-time delivery for Basel plant.
In addition to South Korea, the supply factories in the Asia Pacific region of Ekin silicone are also located in Shanghai, India, etc. The supply chain team is constantly combing the needs of the internal supply enterprises and benchmarking the product standards, closely cooperating with the R & D and production teams, developing and certifying more new internal supply products, so as to make the "link" of the factories in the Asia Pacific region closer.
