Nanjing Normal University, as the birthplace of China's normal education in the south, has developed into a comprehensive university with distinct characteristics of teacher education. Under the background of subject integration, in accordance with the requirements of establishing an open and flexible modern teacher education system and the objective trend of teachers' professional development, Nanjing Normal University established a new specialized teacher education college in 2005, aiming at cultivating "future educators", integrating teaching, scientific research, management and service, to build a new "University + normal" comprehensive The educational system and operation mechanism of learning teachers should strive to build a pre service training base, in-service teacher training base and teacher education theory research base with international influence and demonstration.
In order to effectively improve the quality of teacher education and the level of teacher specialization, effectively integrate the teacher education resources of the whole school, and realize the complementary advantages of various disciplines, Nanjing Normal University has put Chinese language and Literature (normal school), mathematics and Applied Mathematics (normal school), English (normal school), history (normal school), ideological and Political Education (normal school), computer science and Technology (normal school), physics (normal school), chemistry (normal school), biology science (normal school), Geography Science (normal school) and other 10 majors are under the unified enrollment and management of the teacher education college, which is jointly trained by the teacher education college and all relevant professional colleges, and the training mode and mechanism of two-way strengthening of discipline and teacher education. The school of teacher education is also responsible for the professional training of teachers of other majors such as audio, sports, beauty, educational technology and the management of teachers' qualification certificates of normal students in the whole school. The school of teacher education is responsible for the unified certification of teachers' qualification for students who meet the requirements of teachers' qualification application and graduation.
The teacher education major of our college is a key undergraduate major construction project in Jiangsu Province. It has built an intelligent micro training system jointly built by the central and local governments. The teacher vocational skills training center is a provincial teacher education experiment teaching demonstration center. "Pushing forward the reform of teachers' Education in the new era of substantiation, high-end and integration, and building the cradle of educator growth" won the 2013 Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Achievement Award (higher education category) special prize and 2014 national teaching achievement second prize of the Ministry of education, and the construction of "integrated" training system of high-level practical ability of master of education won the 2014 research of China academic degree and graduate education society Second prize of student education achievement award. Three teacher education courses entered the first construction list of national excellent resource sharing courses for teacher education.
According to the requirements of Nanjing Normal University to do a better and stronger teacher education, in 2005, the school of teacher education took the lead in setting up master's degree points of Teacher Education in China under the first level discipline of pedagogy, and carried out "4 + 2" mode graduate education for basic education. In the new round of degree adjustment and full-time professional degree comprehensive reform pilot process, in 2011, our university adjusted nine disciplines related to teacher education, including Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, biology, ideological and political education, history, geography, etc., master's degree points of teaching major and curriculum and Pedagogy degree points (nine disciplines) to teacher education college, and recommended them through the all day system We will spare no effort to promote the reform of the "4 + 2" training model for master of education. The college adheres to the principle of "leading the party construction", establishing morality and cultivating talents, taking teaching and learning as two wings, combining in class and out of class, in school and out of school, and strengthening ideological and political education for teachers and normal students. We have a stable team of counselors, class teachers and academic mentors to promote party building and ideological and political education. Support and guide the student associations such as the trade union (Teaching representative meeting), the Communist Youth League, the student union, the graduate student union, the volunteer association, the College Students Association for science and technology and the psychological weather station to carry out the construction of "teachers' Morality" to promote the teaching and learning style. At present, our college has more than 2000 undergraduate normal students and more than 1000 graduate students; in the past four years, there have been more than 2000 graduate students, with the year-end employment rate of about 95% and the rate of going abroad for further education of about 30%; there are more than 800 graduate students, with the year-end employment rate of 99%, and the employment quality has been steadily improved. The 2015 level students of our college achieved good results in the 2017 written examination of teachers' qualification, ranking first in the whole province's senior high school liberal arts major. More than 200 undergraduates have achieved excellent results in various competitions such as "Toshiba cup · China Normal University Science normal students' teaching skills innovation competition" and Jiangsu normal students' teaching basic skills competition, and applied for nearly 400 provincial and university level college students' practical innovation projects, demonstrating Zhuoyue's teacher literacy.
In line with the reform of talent training mode, in order to strengthen the construction of subject oriented teacher education team and the training of young teachers, the University transferred the subject teaching theory teachers into the teacher education college as a whole in 2011, paid attention to the introduction of overseas students and flag talents, supported the exchange and study visits of young and middle-aged teachers abroad or to domestic high-level universities, and implemented the "enter the basic education project" in various forms Carry out teaching seminars, teacher training and educational research. Our college now has 55 on-the-job teaching staff, including 38 full-time teachers, who are responsible for the professional training of teachers. Our college attaches great importance to international and domestic personnel training exchanges and cooperation, and has successively exchanged visits with famous educational institutions at home and abroad, such as the United States, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc., and extensively carried out academic exchanges, student residency and other activities. In the past four years, our college has received more than 100 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, 2 international students, and 20 undergraduate students have participated in Jiangsu University Students' overseas learning government scholarship program. In recent two years, 25 students from two excellent teacher classes have been organized together with bright educator magazine to travel to Queensland University of science and technology, Queensland University and local famous primary and secondary schools for a two-week academic exchange trip. Many excellent postgraduates have been selected to teach in Haixi Tibetan Prefecture of Qinghai Province and Yining City of Xinjiang. Yancheng Experimental School of Nanjing Normal University was newly established. Teachers were sent to basic education regularly and at designated points. It undertook the liaison and guidance work of more than 10 affiliated schools and teacher development schools in Jiangsu, Henan, Shandong, Anhui and other places. In order to promote the integration of pre service and post service training of teachers, Nanjing Normal University co organized the teacher education college and Jiangsu University Teacher Training Center in 2010, and set up the basic education teacher training center of Nanjing Normal University to better serve the basic education.
