The College of Arts of Nanjing Normal University is the pillar Department of Nanjing Normal University. It has the reputation of "Jiangnan literary hub". It is an important academic base of Humanities Research and the southeast important town of Higher Liberal Arts Education in China. The predecessor of the school of Arts of Nanjing Normal University is the Chinese Department of Nanjing Normal University, which was founded in 1952. Many academic masters, such as Tang Guizhang, sun Wang, Duan Xizhong, Xu Fu and so on, have been working here for a long time, forming a profound and profound academic background and a rigorous and simple academic tradition. In 1997, the Chinese Department was upgraded to the College of Arts. 1、 Teaching unit
The college consists of five teaching units: the Department of Chinese language and literature, the Department of language science and technology, the Department of literature and information science, the Department of film and television science, and the Department of secretarial science. In 2018, Shanghai soft science ranked as "the best discipline in China", and Nanjing Normal University ranked sixth in China in terms of "Chinese language and literature" and 14th in terms of "drama and film and television".
