Bengbu sports center is located on the east side of Taoshan mountain in the south of Bengbu City, which was completed in 2018. It is a multi-functional and comprehensive class a sports center integrating sports competition, leisure and fitness, commercial entertainment, and artistic performance. The total planned land area of the project is 554 mu, with a total construction area of 146000 square meters, including 116000 square meters of above ground construction area, 30000 square meters of underground construction area, 829 parking spaces, which are built according to the two-star standard of green building.

The sports center is composed of "one field, two pavilions, one school and one tower". One field is stadium, two pavilions are gymnasium and multi-functional complex, one school is sports school and one tower is landscape tower. "One site, two pavilions" are arranged on both sides of the central axis urban landscape belt, and they are organically linked as a whole through the two-tier platform.

The building area of the single stadium is 41400 square meters, which is 30000 sub medium-sized class B stadiums. There are standard natural lawn football field and 400m comprehensive track and field field, which can hold football, long and short distance running, long jump, pole vault, shot put, high jump, discus, hammer, javelin and other competitions. The single building area of the gymnasium is 36400 square meters, with 8000 seats. It can meet the requirements of basketball, volleyball, handball, gymnastics, badminton, table tennis, judo, weightlifting and other sports competitions and training, as well as mass fitness and recreational activities. The single building area of the multi-functional complex is 41700 square meters, with six competition venues. The physical education school has a single building area of 26100 square meters and 1000 physical education schools. The landscape tower is 99 solid in height, equipped with a vertical elevator, which can be used for sightseeing.

As the main building of the sports center, the stadium is designed with the elements of "dragon". The main design concept is "dragon totem, two dragons playing the Pearl". The concept of "dragon scale" is adopted for the building's skin, and the unique skin texture is created by combining the overlapping technique of Huizhou tile. Since Bengbu sports center is not far from Longzi Lake, at the beginning of the design, it is planned to integrate the elements of "dragon" into the building, and then take "Chinese red" as the theme color to form a dragon.

The difficulty of the project is that the project volume is large, and the steel structure quantity reaches 22000 tons. And the engineering technology is complex, mainly including slow bonding prestressed concrete structure, special-shaped + cantilevered steel structure, hyperbolic metal roof, hyperbolic glass curtain wall, metal roof dragon scale decorative plate, etc., and the special shape of Longlin decorative plate is also the first in China. In this project, js-2000 weather resistant silicone sealant of Hangzhou Zhijiang is widely used, with a quantity of more than 12000 pieces and a large number of js-701 fire-resistant silicone sealant.

Secondly, the seats in the spectator seat of the stadium adopt the design concept of "all over the sky star", which is red and white, pleasing to the eyes, and can accommodate 30000 people to watch the game at the same time. The opening ceremony of the 14th Anhui games, track and field, men's football and other competitions were successfully held here.

In addition, many technology and environmental protection elements are added to the stadium, and the solar photovoltaic power generation is one of the highlights. The glass that can generate electricity also attracts CCTV's attention, asking what kind of black technology it contains. A total of 3444 photovoltaic power generation glasses are installed on the whole roof of the sports center, and their power generation capacity can meet all the lighting and fire power consumption in the venue.

This kind of power generation glass is used for the roof, which can generate electricity and shade the sun. It is green and environmental friendly. It can achieve two goals with one stone. It can also be used as a building curtain wall, which is integrated with the building. In the first copper indium gallium selenium photovoltaic glass production line in China, the surface of the glass is coated with four substances, namely copper indium gallium selenium. Under the combined effect of these four substances, the glass can absorb light energy and convert it into electrical energy, replacing the traditional crystalline silicon power generation.
