The novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control conference held in Guangdong Province on 8 may, Gong Guoping, deputy director of the Guangdong provincial science and Technology Department, said that Guangdong has developed organic silicon mask, heavy ion filter mask and PTFE filter mask. After testing by relevant agencies, the protection effect is good and can be used for many consecutive days. At the same time, the nanofiber filter mask is developed, which can replace the melt blown cloth and has lower cost.
The Department of science and technology of Guangdong province organizes relevant scientific research institutions, universities and enterprises in the province to carry out joint research and development from two aspects: inner and outer non-woven fabric materials and intermediate melt blown fabric alternative materials. Among them, the non-woven fabric treated with organic silane is used as the inner and outer layers of the mask, and the kn95 mask prepared with melt blown fabric is used as the middle layer, which can be worn for 7 days continuously and effectively after being tested by relevant organizations. Polytetrafluoroethylene filter membrane and heavy ion microporous membrane have nanometer pore size, which can effectively isolate bacteria and viruses, and have the characteristics of high temperature resistance. The reusable mask can be made by using polytetrafluoroethylene filter membrane or heavy ion microporous membrane instead of melt blown cloth. It can be soaked in boiling water or sprayed with medical alcohol for disinfection. It can be repeatedly used for more than 7 times by relevant institutions.
In view of the current situation that the price of melt blown cloth, the core filter material of respirator, is rising and the production cost of respirator is high, relevant scientific research institutions, universities and enterprises in Guangdong Province actively develop low-cost nanofiber filter membrane to replace melt blown cloth. The nanofiber filter mask has reached the standard of medical surgical mask and can be used once.
