Coating technology, known as the "invisible cornerstone" of industrial manufacturing, has been widely applied in many fields, ranging from anti-fingerprint coatings on mobile phone screens to electrode materials of lithium batteries. Currently, there are seven common coating methods, including dip coating, air knife coating, and blade coating.
Dip coating has simple equipment and was early used in the production of photographic paper, but it is greatly affected by coating viscosity and speed. Air knife coating has a wide application range and can be used in the production of high-grade art printing paper, but it has high requirements on the wet strength of base paper. Blade coating can achieve high flatness coatings, and its speed has been greatly improved.
In terms of coating machines, blade type and slot die type are commonly used in laboratories. The blade type is easy to operate and low in cost, suitable for medium and high viscosity slurries. The slot die type has high precision, adapts to a wide viscosity range, and is suitable for high-precision demand scenarios.
With the advancement of "Industry 4.0", Guangzhou Shenghua Industry has launched a new generation of micro-automatic blade-type and slot-die coating machines, providing better solutions for practitioners.
