1. Multi-component copper powder catalyst
In the early Rochow reaction, the main pure metal catalyst used was copper powder. The preparation methods of copper powder can be electrolysis, atomization and physical crushing, but the early copper powder catalytic effect did not achieve the expected effect. At present, the most commonly used method is to prepare multi-component copper powder by partial oxidation of copper powder and has achieved remarkable results. Among them, the control of the ratio between metal and oxide after partial oxidation is the most critical. The degree of partial oxidation must be controlled and not excessive oxidation. Among them, the copper-cuprous oxide-copper oxide ternary copper-based catalyst was successfully developed in 1962. Its particle size ranges from about 1 μm to 35 μm, and the specific surface area is about 3-4 m2/g. It has a long storage time, good stability in the reaction and good catalytic performance. It is currently widely used by the world's largest silicone companies. In addition to the ternary copper-based catalyst, domestic scientific research units have developed a binary copper-based catalyst through wet chemical synthesis, but researchers found that its catalytic performance did not achieve the ideal effect, and the quality structure of the product was not stable enough and was not widely used.
