On December 12, 2025, major news emerged in China's silicone materials sector — Jinhua Silica New Materials Co., Ltd. announced that its independently developed combination solution of disulfide-free liquid silicone rubber and ultra-low VOC silicone oil has achieved stable market-scale production. This marks a successful breakthrough in addressing three core challenges long plaguing the production of high-transparency pacifiers, providing a brand-new solution for the safety upgrade of baby and child products.

For a long time, manufacturers of high-transparency pacifiers have commonly faced issues such as exceeding VOC and cyclic siloxane residue limits, deformation and yellowing due to secondary curing, and difficulty balancing transparency with strength, seriously affecting market access and safety certification for high-end products. As one of the first domestic suppliers to achieve large-scale application of this technology, Jinhua Silica has targeted these challenges precisely, offering a solution that addresses industry pain points from the source.

The core products of this solution include two series with a total of 14 models, covering a full hardness range of 20–70 Shore A. Among them, the ultra-low VOC silicone oil has a VOC content of less than 0.2%, with D3-D10 cyclic siloxane residues under 100 ppm, far exceeding industry safety standards; the disulfide-free addition-cure liquid silicone completely eliminates issues related to odor, yellowing, and migration caused by curing agents. Even after baking at 200°C for 4 hours, weight loss remains under 0.3%, demonstrating excellent safety performance. In terms of mechanical properties, the product’s maximum tensile strength reaches 10.5 MPa, peak tear strength is 42 kN/m, and elongation can reach up to 750%, perfectly balancing high transparency, high strength, and easy demolding.

"The batch stability and processing adaptability of the material exceeded our expectations. After using it, the defect rate on the production line dropped from 8% to below 1%, and production efficiency increased by nearly 30%." This feedback came from a well-known baby products company that first trialed the solution. A representative from Jinhua Silica explained that the solution not only achieves a technological breakthrough but also ensures large-scale supply capability through mature processes, meeting the mass production needs of various companies.

Its products cover multiple fields including baby products, medical consumables, and textile coating. The newly launched disulfide-free solution is the result of years of technological accumulation. Currently, the solution has started bulk supply.
