Introduction to the College of Psychology
Nanjing Normal University has a long history of psychology. In 1920, the first Department of psychology in China was established here; the next year, the first psychological society in China, the Chinese Psychological Society, was also established here. Over the past hundred years, there have been many famous psychologists. Pan Shu, Chen Heqin, Lu Zhiwei, Ai Wei, Liao Shicheng, Gao Juefu and many other academic masters have worked hard for a long time here.
In 2012, the school of psychology of Nanjing Normal University was officially established. At present, the comprehensive strength of our college is ranked sixth in the country (from the fourth round of subject evaluation of the Ministry of education in 2016), and it has become the leading force in the basic and applied research of psychology in Jiangsu Province, which has an important impact on the psychology circle at home and abroad.
