Preparation Technologies of Amino Silicones with Various Structures Boost Material Functional Upgrades

    Recently, the preparation methods of amino silicones with various structures have been disclosed in detail, providing important technical support for the functional upgrading of related material fields. As a type of modified silicone with excellent performance, amino silicone is widely used in textile, daily chemical and other industries, and its structural differences directly affect product performance.
    The published preparation technologies cover nine types of amino silicones, including two-terminal aminoalkyl-modified, side-chain N-(β-aminoethyl)iminopropyl-modified and other types. The preparation methods mainly involve core processes such as alkali-catalyzed equilibration reaction, hydrosilylation reaction and polycondensation reaction, with different reaction conditions for products of different structures. For example, two-terminal aminoalkyl-modified silicone oil can be prepared by alkali-catalyzed equilibration or hydrosilylation, while side-chain modified products are mostly produced through equilibration or polycondensation reactions. Some processes solve problems such as long reaction time and difficult product filtration by adding accelerators and optimizing reaction temperature.
    These diversified preparation technologies enable precise regulation of key indicators such as the degree of polymerization and distribution of modified groups of amino silicones, which will further promote their application upgrading in hair care conditioning, textile finishing and other scenarios.
