Electrolyte is a key factor for lithium ion and lithium metal batteries to obtain higher energy density. However, traditional electrolytes have problems such as uncontrolled interface reactions and irreversible decomposition, which lead to deterioration of battery performance and potential safety hazards. Organosilicon compounds have attracted great interest as a promising electrolyte component due to their advantages such as easy chemical modification, low glass transition temperature (Tg), excellent chemical stability and thermal stability. In the past few years, people have invested a lot of research work to develop organic silicon-based electrolytes with higher comprehensive performance.
