China's carbon fiber industry achieved leaping development in 2025, ranking first in the world with a 47.7% capacity share and breaking the 30-year technological monopoly of Japan and the United States. Huayang Co., Ltd.'s T1000 grade carbon fiber project was successfully mass-produced, overcoming a number of core processes and realizing domestic independence of this material once listed on the strategic embargo list. Jilin Chemical Fiber became the world's top with an annual sales volume of 56,000 tons, and its 310,000-ton full industrial chain layout built a complete ecology from precursor to terminal composite materials.
The application scenarios of carbon fiber have also achieved a comprehensive breakthrough, expanding from aerospace to low-altitude economy, rail transit, humanoid robots and other fields. The world's first carbon fiber subway train was put into operation in Qingdao. The price dropped by 70% compared with the previous one, completing the transformation from high-end material to industrial necessity. Sinopec's 60K large-tow carbon fiber achieved technological breakthroughs, and the industry is further transforming towards greenization, with Zhongfu Shenying's clean energy utilization rate reaching 76%. In the future, the industry will develop towards cost reduction of large-tow and quality improvement of small-tow carbon fiber, starting a new journey from capacity competition to ecological competition.
