Key Points for Additive Selection of High Glass Fiber High Temperature Nylon

Hits: 217 img

On March 18, 2026, Chain Plastic Network released a professional analysis focusing on the selection of lubricants and antioxidants for high glass fiber high temperature nylon. High glass fiber (40%-60%) high temperature nylon has become a core material in electronics and automotive fields with excellent performance, but faces dual challenges of high melt viscosity, glass fiber exposure during processing, and thermal-oxidative aging at high temperatures, making additive selection the key to solving the problem. Lubricant selection must take thermal stability as the bottom line, withstanding processing temperatures of 300-340℃. Polar lubricants are better at solving fiber floating problems, and the addition amount should be controlled at 0.3%-1.0%. Antioxidants take compounding as the core. In scenarios of long-term service above 150℃, the LS-21 composite system has significantly better protective effect than the traditional 1098/168 combination. Different working conditions need to match exclusive additive schemes, balancing processability and aging resistance. Relevant industry problems can be discussed with experts at the 2026 Compounding Innovation Conference in Suzhou from March 26 to 27.
