On January 4, 2026, the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Conference was grandly held at Hongshan Auditorium in Wuhan. The team led by Li Shubing, Chief Engineer of Silicone at Xingfa Group, won the first prize of the 2025 Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award for the project "Green Process, Key Equipment and Industrialization of Methylchlorosilane Monomer Preparation". As one of the 12 scientists walking the 100-meter red carpet at the conference, Li Shubing became the focus of attention, and the technology developed by his team has injected strong momentum into the high-quality development of China's silicone industry.

   It is reported that aiming at the industry pain points such as low process efficiency, high energy consumption and difficult treatment of three wastes in the traditional industrialization of methylchlorosilane monomers, the project has successfully developed key technologies for efficient preparation and hydrolysis of methylchlorosilane monomers, as well as comprehensive utilization technologies for major "three wastes" after years of research. Relying on these core achievements, Xingfa Group has built the industry's first silicone digital twin smart factory, realizing the green manufacturing of new silicone materials. According to expert evaluation, the project has reached the international advanced level as a whole, and the comprehensive energy consumption of monomer separation is in the international leading position.

   Since the start of R&D in 2019, the project has achieved remarkable results: the energy consumption of monomer separation has been reduced by 64%, and the staffing has been reduced by more than 50%. At present, the entire set of technologies has been successfully transformed in Hubei Xingrui Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., building a series of devices including 400,000 tons/year methyl chloride synthesis and 800,000 tons/year silicone monomer synthesis and separation. In the past three years, the project has added 8.694 billion yuan in sales revenue and 672 million yuan in profits. Compared with domestic devices of the same scale, it can reduce costs by about 560 million yuan per year, while reducing three wastes emissions by 519,400 tons, carbon emissions by 53,500 tons, and saving energy consumption of 26,500 tons of standard coal, providing a replicable model for the green and low-carbon transformation of the industry.

   As the leading enterprise of the silicone industrial chain in Hubei Province, Xingfa Group stated that it will continue to rely on high-level innovation platforms such as Hubei Three Gorges Laboratory, increase R&D investment and talent training, help realize the goal of "100 billion Xingfa, world-class", and promote China's transformation from a major silicone producer to a powerful one.
