    The improvement of coating hardness has long been a major challenge for engineers and formulators in the coating production and R&D field. Many practitioners blindly increase curing agents, pile up high-hardness fillers or stick to a single resin system, leading to problems such as film cracking, decreased adhesion and soaring costs. Recently, Ruipu New Materials shared an innovative solution of "resin compounding + functional additive synergy + process fine-tuning", successfully solving this industry pain point.
    The scheme lays a solid foundation for hardness through precise resin compounding, with exclusive ratios for different scenarios such as industrial anti-corrosion, wood and plastic; adds silane coupling agents, scratch-resistant additives to improve performance, and strictly controls the dosage of leveling agents; then fine-tunes the curing process to fully cross-link the resin. Tests show that the pencil hardness of the coating can jump from 2B to 2H or even 3H, the scratch resistance times increase by 3 times, the adhesion reaches grade 0, the cost is reduced by 5%-8%, and the mass production scrap rate drops to below 2%. Currently, this scheme has been widely used in hardware anti-corrosion, furniture, electronic casings and other fields, helping enterprises meet standards easily.
